Why should designers and creatives blog about their work?

We used to judge capability on a good portfolio and nice site design. Of course your portfolio is crucial but what is the best way to show people you think about your work with enthusiasm, are pro-active in your industry and are well resourced and capable? Derek Wiesehahn is a New York Photographer and Cinematographer with an amazing portfolio. Derek needed a smooth way to display his work with a simple design to let his imagery do the work. The site has cms that he can use to update his images and add content.

When I worked for Kameleon Media I designed this website for our design department. We provided a variety of services to clients mostly associated with our nightclub and text message websites.

We had a big launch party to kick it all off. Some great acts turned up to help out and we managed to pay them all. Artists displayed work on the walls and the beer flowed a plenty. A fitting party after a year of hard work.
